Another installment of Royal Doulton from a collector's estate. This is a lovely, hand-decorated tea set that includes three cup-and-saucer sets with matching square snack plates. I love that the designer snuck one or two yellow orchids amidst the pink ones that dominate the decoration. The teapot, creamer, and open sugar are white porcelain, trimmed in gold; while the cup sets have a white background, but trimmed with black. Overall, the effect is delightful! All of the pieces bear slightly different Royal Doulton backstamps. Altogether, these pieces were produced during the 1930s and 40s, speaking for the lasting popularity of the Orchid pattern.

Condition - Very good to Excellent; the teapot and lid are lightly crazed on the outside (please see the photos). The remainder of the pieces are in excellent condition. None of the pieces are chipped or cracked; none show repairs. The set is usable and displays beautifully!
