I just adore hand-painted California pottery. This bucolic scene is so relaxing, too. This is a very large salad bowl, perfect for backyard picnics with family and friends. The condition is near-mint. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. No utensil marks. It is a simple shape, with only a small "foot" on the bottom. Measurements are 11 inches across, and 3-1/2 inches deep. This pattern, "Homestead Provincial," is part of Metlox Pottery's Poppytrail series (that also included Red and Green Rooster patterns).
