When I first acquired this, and some matching companion pieces, I wasn't sure I could part with it. It is everything that Redux Vintage is - artful objects that tell the stories of people's lives. There is an inscription on the back of this platter that gives the date, the pattern name ("Wind-Blown"), and the name of the lady for whom it was painted. It is signed by Alpha Walker-Witt. She was an artist of some note during the first half of the 20th century, and iconic of the Arts and Crafts movement.
The platter blank is unmarked; however, the companion pieces were all painted on German or Limoges porcelain. It is about 17 inches long by 12 inches wide. The painting seems to be intact. The colors are lively and bright. Please feel free to message with any questions. Thank you for visiting Redux Vintage Boutique.
