There is much more detail to these dishes than first meets the eye. The ruffled edge on the plate carries a two-tone scalloped design, plus a metallic gold trim. The pink center flower (a peony? a rose?) is flanked by tiny blue flowers and pale green leaves. There are enough dishes for eight 4-piece place settings; plus an additional four dinner plates, 3 additional bread plates, and 2 additional saucers.
This set is in excellent condition and so gorgeous. The gold trim is intact on every single piece. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. All the colors are bright. The backstamps place manufacture dates in the 1935-37 range (circles and dots).
